Beijing

So here we are! We made the flights with no problems. The Detroit Airport was a good place for the boys to run up and down to burn off energy before the 13 hour trek to Beijing. Ethan loved the fact that he had a tv screen right in front of him with tons of movies at his disposal! Jon Jon was just excited to be coming back to China! He danced and sang "I'm going to China, I'm gonna get a sister" the entire way! Lynn's mom and step dad are with us, and we just couldn't have made this trip without them!

We arrived in Beijing on Friday evening, July 15th at 11p.m. We got to the hotel around midnight and got things ready for a big day on Saturday! We went to Tiennamen Square, The Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Silk and Pearl Markets. It was a great, yet exhausting day! We were thankful to get in the bed and sleep last night!

Sunday, July 16th, we went to the Beijing International Christian Fellowship for worship. It is an awesome reminder of God's work in other countries. Following worship, we went to the jade market and lunch. Following lunch we went to the Great Wall! The boys loved every minute of it. We are so proud of Ethan and Jonathan! They have been super troopers! It is hot and there has been a lot of walking and shopping. They haven't complained! Jon Jon and I (Joey) have loved the food! It is so good!

We LOVE our other families in the travel group! It is such a neat group of people! There are a few families that will be parents for the first time, 2 of us have adopted from China before, and others have older children! Please pray for us around 7:30 p.m. your time on July 16th. We will be leaving Beijing and headed to the different provinces to meet out babies. It is hard to believe the time is finally here! We are so close to getting Grace!!!
